These photos are taken on the beach of Sudania in Gaza during the second week of august, while it was held the Palestinian Progressive Youth Union summer camp and israeli infantry was penetrating the city once again, left without electricity.

Bethlehem, even if daily sieged by the israeli forces and made hard to reach by their checkpoints, offers its market and colors, the many shops and smells of an ancient palestinian city: these photos were taken the morning of the 17th august.

In Ibdaa, the cultural center of the Dheishe camp in Bethlehem, there is a beautiful exposition of handmade crafts produced by the palestinian womens living in that zone: the unique pieces let stare more than one visitor of the center, they are also sold at fair prices.

Hebron, in the south of the West Bank, is a city counting more than 300.000 inhabitants. There was a colorful market disclosing in a central square as i entered it, then i also got the possibility to take photos from the top of the highest hill of Hebron, offering a large view of it.

The city of Ramallah in the morning of tuesday 21th, one day after the assassination of Ahmad Saadat, was silenced under a heavy curfew. Walking thru its desert roads not a shop was open, very few were the cars passing, apparently noone on the streets; but suddenly in a crossroad i met a dozen of childrens playing, claiming back the sun and their playground.
